Established as a band back in 2001, the Sons of Navarone have entertained audiences all over Europe and won the prestigious award of Best European Bluegrass Band at the La Roche Festival in 2012.
All but one of the sons is a native Belgian, the other is a refugee. They are:-
Thierry Schoysman: (Vocals and Mandolin)
Guido Bos: (Vocals and Bass)
Yves Aerts: (Vocals and Guitar)
Eugene O’Brien: (Banjo and Subterfuge )
Dressed in their trademark Tuxedos, the Sons give a polished and professional performance of traditional and contemporary bluegrass mixed with humour and entertainment.
The Sons promote good Bluegrass music wherever they go, are regular visitors to the UK for concerts and festivals, and are proud supporters and members of the BBMA.
